Film Analysis: Iron Man 2

Summary

This is movie #4 of my marvel marathon. Tony Stark is getting a lot of publicity after unveiling that he is iron man. Since many people know of Tony’s successes and capabilities, some of them just want to take him down and get the recognition that he is getting.

Tony Stark gets caught up in his own world of being iron man and a lot of people could connect with his procrastination

10. How does the lighting design shape our perception of character, space, or mood? a bunch of natural lighting because most shots are outside
11. How do camera angles and camera movements shape our view of characters or spaces? What do you see cinematically? There was more cowboy shots than expected because there was a lot of dialogue
12. What is the music’s purpose in the film? How does it direct our attention within the image? How does it shape our interpretation of the image? What stands out about the music? Still rock music that fits in to tonys personality and helps us connect with the character
13. How might industrial, social, and economic factors have influenced the film? Describe how this film influences or connects to a culture? Some scenes are in russia and shows some of the difficulties of living there
